Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in High-Energy Physics at Ecole Normale Superieure (Paris) and IIT Madras (Chennai). This position is part of the joint project supported by Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research/Centre Franco-Indien pour la Promotion de la Recherche Avancée (IFCPAR/CEFIPRA) with the grant 6304-3 (principal investigators: Giuseppe Policastro and Ayan Mukhopadhyay).

Eligibility
Applications are invited from highly motivated young scientists. Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Physics with excellent track record. The candidate is expected to carry out research in the domain of holographic and holography-motivated approaches to the phenomenology of strongly coupled matter (quark-gluon plasma, strongly correlated electrons, etc), and also their connections with quantum information theory and related subjects. Candidates with expertise in numerical holography and/or the requisite tools of thermal/non-equilibrium quantum field theory are strongly encouraged to apply.

Salary and benefits
The postdoctoral position will be for three years, divided between France (15 months) and India (21 months). The salary will be at par with that of the analogous positions in the respective countries — the precise amount will depend on the experience of the candidate.
In France, the fellow will be hosted by ENS (Paris) and is expected to interact with G. Policastro and the other joint participants in the project: F. Nitti (APC), J.-Y. Ollitrault, E. Iancu (IPhT Saclay). In India, the fellow will be hosted by IIT Madras (Chennai) and is expected to interact with A. Mukhopadhyay and other joint participants in the project on the Indian side: Arnab Kundu (SINP), Amaresh Jaiswal (NISER) and Rajeev Bhalerao (IISER Pune).
