Position Description: The College of Science at Benedictine University invites applications for a full time assistant professor position in Computer Science within the Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences beginning fall 2018. We seek candidates with interests that would complement the backgrounds of the current CS faculty. Candidates should be committed to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. For tenure track appointments, a successful applicant is expected to hold an earned doctorate, and to involve and mentor undergraduate students in research; for non-tenure track appointments, contributions in addition to teaching will be based on departmental need and prior industry experience.


Required Qualifications: An earned M.S. degree in Computer Science or M.S. in another STEM field with significant programming experience. PhD preferred. Candidates must have legal authority to work in the USA at the time of appointment. Prior teaching and/or industry experience is highly desirable.
