The Department of Cell Biology at Duke University Medical Center is hiring tenure-track faculty members. Our Department offers a vibrant research community with cutting-edge shared resources. We strongly support an inclusive environment that is committed to becoming antiracist as well as the diversification of our faculty ranks. The preferred level is for an Assistant Professor who would start an independent career at Duke. We invite applications from candidates in all fields of cell biology. Preference will be given to candidates whose activities complement and strengthen research programs within the department with in vivo approaches to important questions. Successful candidates will have track records of creativity and productivity, a desire to integrate into our exciting, collaborative, and growing community, and a dedication to contribute to our values of diversity and openness. They will be expected to mount a productive and innovative research program, to obtain outside funding, and to participate actively in graduate and post-graduate training and mentorship. Candidates must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree. The application package should include a cover letter accompanied by a one-page diversity statement, a curriculum vitae, and a three-page statement of research (organized as one page summary of past research accomplishments and a two-page summary of your future research plans), and 3 letters of recommendation.
