LEHIGH UNIVERSITY. The P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Lehigh University invites applications for the Associate Chair of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering to be filled through a teaching track position at the level of Teaching Associate Professor or Teaching Full Professor. 

Candidates should possess an earned Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering or related fields and have experience in chemical engineering education in a university setting commensurate with the level of appointment, along with a strong record of course and curriculum development, innovative instructional technology implementation, and academic management and advising. The successful candidate will be expected to lead departmental efforts in educational innovation and assessment as well as curriculum design aimed at advancing a vibrant and leading-edge educational environment that meets Lehigh's long-held standards for, and emphasis upon, educational excellence. 

The successful candidate will also offer high-quality academic advising, and will be expected to contribute to the university’s commitment to providing an inclusive and equitable community. The position is renewable and promotable based upon performance and continuing need of the Department, the College, and the University, and affords broad voting privileges and eligibility to serve on Department, College, and University committees, ensuring lasting institutional educational impact. 

Over its 115+-year history, Lehigh's Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering has built a reputation for balancing world-class research with the highest quality undergraduate and graduate level education at a scale amenable to personalized mentorship and in a collaborative and supportive environment. 

The Rossin College consists of eight departments, twelve research-based M.S. and Ph.D. programs, ten professional master's programs, and twelve undergraduate programs. The college also has multiple cross-college honors programs with the College of Business and with the College of Arts and Sciences. The College faculty includes approximately 130 tenure-track and 20 teaching faculty members. The student body includes approximately 2,000 undergraduate students and 800 graduate students. The College has broad-based research activities across numerous areas of scholarly excellence and is focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
