The Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China invites application for a postdoctoral researcher position to work on the Phase-II Muon Spectrometer Upgrade for the ATLAS experiment at CERN. The successful candidate will be expected to make major contributions to the ATLAS Phase-II Upgrade of the Muon RPC trigger, which involves the design, prototype construction, tests, etc.


The initial appointment is 2-3 years with possible extension or promotion based on mutual satisfaction. The successful candidate is expected to work and be based in Shanghai. Involvement in the ATLAS physics analysis is also possible. The candidate should have his/her Ph.D. in experimental particle physics or nuclear physics with experiences in detector work. SJTU provides competitive salary and stipend for postdoctoral researchers plus additional housing benefits. We also offer assistance in applying for the prestigious “Chung-Yao Chao Postdoctoral Fellowship” and "T.D. Lee Postdoctoral Fellowship".
