The Department of Biophysics at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the level of assistant professor. We seek outstanding candidates who study molecular mechanisms of biological processes, in vitro or in vivo, using physical and quantitative approaches. We particularly encourage applications from those with backgrounds in single-molecule spectroscopy or quantitative imaging, but are interested in all excellent candidates regardless of technical approach. Scientists within the Department of Biophysics participate in a vibrant, interdisciplinary, interdepartmental, and highly collaborative research community within the Medical Center, and enjoy unparalleled access to state-of-the-art research cores in cryo-electron microscopy, X-ray crystallography, macromolecular NMR spectroscopy, molecular biophysics, cellular imaging, protein chemistry and high-throughput screening.

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a concise description of previous research accomplishments and future plans (3 page limit) and three letters of reference by November 1, 2017 to http://academicjobsonline.org.
