The Department of Physics at The Ohio State University is offering a Post Doctoral Scholar position under the direction of Prof. Jay Gupta (web: http://u.osu.edu/guptagroup/). The project is focused on exploring the coupling of magnetism and topological states as part of a collaboration involving MBE growth (Prof. Roland Kawakami at OSU), and spin transport theory (Prof. Michael Flatté at Univ. Iowa). Demonstrated experience with scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and in particular, spin-polarized STM is preferred, although candidates with extensive experience in studying magnetic topological materials with other techniques are also encouraged to apply. In addition to relevant research experience, demonstration of good teamwork, mentoring and communication skills are important for the position.
