The Beratan Lab at Duke University aims to hire a highly motivated Theoretical Chemist interested in expanding and deepening their skills on topics surrounding quantum coherence in molecular systems. This postdoctoral associate will become a member of a multidisciplinary team team of theoretical chemists, spectroscopists, and synthetic chemists that is using theory, modeling and simulation to discover new schemes to exploit coherence effects in energy transfer, electron transfer, and other chemical reactions. The postdoctoral associate will execute theory, modeling and simulation of transport dynamics, and will also simulate multi-dimensional electronic and mixed electronic-vibrionic spectra, and is also expected to engage in and contribute to the overarching project activities being carried out in collaboration the experimental research partners, as well as to contribute to the groups broader impact activities.

Expertise in modern methods of theoretical chemistry are critical, as is an ability to design, execute, and interpret these studies in the context of real molecular systems, and excellent communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications: Qualified applicants must have considerable experience in theoretical chemistry, including a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry or a closely related field
