The Department of Chemistry invites applications for a non-tenure track full-time Instructor position to begin January 1, 2023. The position is for a one-year term with possible renewal for a second year and is a nine-month union appointment. There may be an opportunity for summer term teaching with additional pay.
The Instructor will be the instructor of record for two courses each term consisting of Chem 91 (Chemistry, Technology and Society), 99 (Intro to Chemistry), 101 (General Chemistry), or 210 (Modern Applications). In consultation with the director of undergraduate studies, the instructor will develop course content including lectures, practice problems, and exams. The instructor will be expected to hold weekly office hours and mentor/train teaching assistants for their courses. The total enrollments average 50 – 100 students depending upon the class and semester.
