The Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough, invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment in the area of Computer Systems. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor and will begin on July 1, 2019.

We seek candidates working in any aspect of Computer Systems. We are especially interested in exceptional candidates who complement our existing strengths, see https://www.utsc.utoronto.ca/cms/faculty-of-computer-science.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field , with a demonstrated exceptional record of excellence in research and teaching at the highest international levels. Excellence in research will be demonstrated by a record of sustained high-impact contributions and publications in top ranked field-relevant journals and conferences, the submitted research statement, distinguished awards and accolades, and other noteworthy activities that contribute to the visibility and prominence of the discipline, as well as strong endorsements by referees of top international stature. Evidence for excellence in teaching must be provided through teaching accomplishments, the teaching dossier, including a strong teaching statement, sample course syllabi, excellent teaching evaluations, and strong letters of reference submitted as part of the application.

The successful candidate will also be a member of the tri-campus Graduate Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto. They will be expected to participate actively in the Graduate Department of Computer Science, http://www.cs.toronto.edu.
