The College of Computing was established in 1990 under the direction of the founding dean, Peter Freeman. The college is a world-class leader in research and computing breakthroughs. The graduate program is currently ranked 10th nationally by U.S. News and World Report. It consists of three schools that provide specialized and general computing education to the entire campus. The college is part of the Georgia Institute of Technology campus community, which is a unit of the University System of the State of Georgia.

The College of Computing at Georgia Tech, a public technological Institute located in the heart of Atlanta, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow. The successful candidate will design, organize and conduct highly specialized and advanced experiments using established scientific protocols and procedures and in some cases designing new protocols; summarize findings and publish results in research journals; assume general responsibility for scientific operations of the laboratory; provide supervision and guidance as necessary to researchers and students.

Incumbent will be a member of the research faculty with the rank of Postdoctoral Researcher, although a suitable working title may be discussed as needed. The appointment work at 100% time in the School of Interactive Computing. The individual will be eligible for benefits through Georgia Tech inclusive of vacation and sick leave, consulting options, etc. Pay will be commensurate with experience and market value.

Duties: The role of the person in this position is to both teach and conduct research in artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, and/or robotics. Teaching duties involves coverage of high-demand courses, such as machine learning or robotics, at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Research should focus on these high-demand interest areas and/or on the intersection of education with these disciplines and should be publishable in various conferences and journals.

Qualifications: Candidates for this position must have a PhD in Computer Science (or close to graduation) with a research focus on machine learning (deep learning, reinforcement learning), computer vision, and natural language processing. The applicant must have multiple publications at top-tier conferences (CVR/ICCV/ECCV, NIPS/ICML/ICLR/UA/AISTATS, EMNLP/ACL/NAACL).
