The Department of Physics at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in theoretical high energy, nuclear and/or quantum physics. We are particularly interested in candidates working on the interface between strongly coupled systems and holography, including the AdS/CFT correspondence, black holes, and quantum information. The successful candidate is expected to establish a vigorous research program and to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level. The physics department at CU Boulder has strengths in many areas of physics and offers a highly interactive and collaborative environment. In particular, it is expected that the successful applicant will become a fellow of the Center for Theory of Quantum Matter (CTQM). Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Physics or related areas. Candidates must submit a full application including curriculum vitae, publication record (including citation information), research plan (not to exceed 3 pages in length) and teaching plan at “www.cu.edu/cu-careers”, posting #10142. In addition, please arrange for three letters of reference to be directly sent by writers to physicssearch2017@colorado.edu mentioning the applicants name in the subject. Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2017, but applications will be accepted and reviewed until the position is filled. Questions should be submitted to physicssearch2017@colorado.edu
