The SIBLEY SCHOOL OF MECHANICAL AND AEROSPACE ENGINEERING AT CORNELL UNIVERSITY, Ithaca, New York invites applications for a Visiting Lecturer position.
The School is currently seeking to fill a Visiting Lecturer position for a one-year, half-time appointment starting on or shortly after January 1 2018. The teaching duties will include teaching two courses: an undergraduate/master’s degree-level elective in the robotics or dynamics/control area (Spring 2018) and a large required undergraduate course in mechatronics and circuits for Mechanical Engineers (Fall 2018). Additional opportunities may arise for teaching or research collaborations. Candidates are sought who have a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience in instruction at the University level is preferred. While applicants at the level of Lecturer are preferred, appointments at the Senior Lecturer level will be considered. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, and the position includes benefits. This is a one-year, term appointment, without tenure.
