Position Description:    

We seek a highly-motivated individual to pursue computational hemodynamics research in a supportive and collaborative environment. Our goal is to advance personalized simulation to improve diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. We have an NIH-funded project to develop, validate, and apply massively parallel physics-based model coupled with machine learning. This work will be completed as part of a wider multidisciplinary team developing patient-specific hemodynamic models to provide insight into the development and progression of disease and work to integrate flow models with data from wearable devices. This position is available for immediate hire with a 1-year term and opportunity for additional annual renewal contingent on performance and funding availability. The applicant must be detail-oriented, independent, proactive, well-organized, and able to manage multiple and changing priorities as needed to move experiments and the research program forward, in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong commitment to research and work ethic, and a positive attitude are required for this team-based position. Minimum Requirements: ·
  • Candidates should have relevant research experience and hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another related field 
  • Excellent knowledge of computational fluid dynamics 
  • Experience with C programming 
  • Research experience 
  • Knowledge of parallel programming
