Description: The University of Notre Dame invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track position in Irish Language and Literature. This will be a rank-open search. Discipline is open, but we especially invite applications from those whose work has a comparative focus.

The successful hire will be affiliated with the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies. The Keough-Naughton Institute has for over 25 years been a leading teaching-and-research institute dedicated to the study and understanding of Irish culture—in Ireland and around the world—in all of its manifestations. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the teaching and research mission of the Institute.


Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D.

Junior candidates should also arrange for the submission of three confidential letters of reference and a writing sample.
