The APCTP, founded in 1996, is a non-governmental organization aiming for an international center dedicated to excellence in research and the training of young scientists in the Asia-Pacific region. The center is in Postech, one of the best science and engineering universities in Asia. It is located in the harbor city of Pohang, at the south-eastern part of Korea. It is well-connected to all the major cities in Korea via express train. The QFT/String Theory Group at APCTP/Postech is lead by Jaemo Park (Postech), Hee-Cheol Kim (Postech), Dongmin Gang (APCTP), and Jaewon Song (APCTP). We work on various aspects of QFT, string theory, and mathematical physics.
