Position Description
The Department of Architecture in the College of
Architecture, Art, and Planning at Cornell University invites applications for one
or more non-tenure-track full-time Lecturer positions. Positions
are nine-month appointments, with an initial three-year term.
Candidate qualifications must include evidence of excellence
in architecture instruction in studio teaching, and/or lecture and seminar
courses in areas such as architecture design, building technology, history, theory,
design computation, urbanism, sustainability and resilience. We are interested
in practitioners and scholars who have a commitment to design excellence,
architecture inquiry and to collaborative pedagogies and practices.
Successful candidates should have the ability to engage in the full breadth of the architecture curriculum and be interested in strengthening the educational offerings of the Department.
A professional bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of architecture is required. Responsibilities will include teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, advising, and service.

About the Department of Architecture:
The Department of Architecture dates to the founding of Cornell University. The
department engages urgent global issues through a foundation of conceptual
thinking and processes of making and is committed to architectural practices
informed by and embedded within evolving and dynamic social, environmental, and
technical contexts. Degree programs include a professional Bachelor of
Architecture, a professional Master of Architecture, post-professional Master
of Science degrees in Advanced Architectural Design and Advanced Urban Design,
and a doctoral program in the History of Architecture and Urban Development.

Compensation Salary Range: $65,000 – $95,000 based on
the selected candidate’s qualifications. Generous benefits package including

Pay Ranges:
The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:
- Prior relevant work or industry experience.
- Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
- Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
- Unique applicable skills.
