Postdoctoral Associate, Neurodegeneration – Hu Lab, Weill Institute

The Weill Institute for Cell and Molecular Biology seeks a Postdoctoral Associate to join the research group of Professor Fenghua Hu. Details of Dr. Hu’s laboratory, ongoing research projects, and recent publications can be found at https://hu.wicmb.cornell.edu/

The Postdoctoral Associate will contribute to a research program focused on molecular and cellular mechanisms of neurodegeneration, particularly amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD) and Alzheimer's disease (AD).

A Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or neuroscience is required at the start of the appointment. Prior research experience in cell biology, biochemistry and/or mouse models will be a plus.

The initial appointment period will be for one year with potential renewal contingent on funding and performance. The anticipated hiring salary is $63,480.

Pay Ranges:

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:

  • Prior relevant work or industry experience.
  • Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
  • Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
  • Unique applicable skills.
