Position Description

Postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of African & African American Studies at Duke University for one year. The candidate will serve as a consultant on the development of the MA in Sports Studies and teach two classes through AAAS related to sports and race in AY 2026-27.

A PhD in a related field is required. A published book by a university press in sports studies as well as experience with Duke Athletics is preferred. Applicants should submit a CV and three references along with a cover letter. Salary and benefits competitive. Start date July 1, 2026, end date June 30, 2027.
