Position Description
The Black Think Tank (BTT) is hiring a part-time associate in research to support our programmatic activities. The main goal of the BTT is to support and develop the community of Black faculty at Duke University. We are looking for a candidate to support our organizational efforts, communication, and research activities. Assistant Qualifications and Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be a responsible, self-motivated professional able to undertake a variety of support and research tasks. They should possess excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills (both oral and written). Interpersonal skills are also highly valued as the candidate will engage with faculty and administrators across the institution, offering a rich opportunity to network and develop meaningful professional connections. The ideal candidate will have familiarity and experience with matters related to the mission of the initiative. This remunerated part-time position will be offered by hourly contract and the candidate will be subject to an eight-week evaluation period. The candidate can be re-appointed based on performance and if funding is renewed.
