The Duke Global Health Institute (DGHI) was created in 2006 to address health disparities worldwide. The mission of the Duke Global Health Institute is to achieve health equity worldwide through research, education and service. Recognizing that many global health problems stem from economic, social, environmental, political and health care inequalities, Duke Global Health brings together interdisciplinary teams to work with partners to solve highly complex health problems and to train the next generation of global health leaders. In support of this mission, DGHI recruits faculty members whose work is interdisciplinary, research-intensive and clinical, practice or policy-based and has or has the potential to have a national or international impact in global health.
