Position Description

The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Duke University, located in Durham, NC, invites applications for a distinguished Full Professor (tenured) position in Clinical Psychology, anticipated to begin Summer 2027. 

We welcome outstanding scholars of international eminence in the broad domain of clinical psychology and neuroscience to apply for the Marcil-Monahan Family Professorship, a Full Professor Distinguished Chair (endowed) position in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Duke University. The specific research area is open, but preference will be given to applicants employing human neuroscience tools and rigorous quantitative approaches to advance the understanding and improvement of mental health and brain function. The successful applicant will be a world-renowned scholar with a strong record of extramural research funding. We are looking for an effective teacher at the undergraduate and graduate level who has a history of outstanding mentoring of Ph.D. students and other trainees. Eligibility for clinical licensure is desirable, but not essential. The successful candidate is also expected to have a strong record of highly visible professional and academic service, on campus and nationally.
