Position Description

The Department of Sociology at Duke University invites applicants for a Postdoctoral Associate to work with faculty.

The postdoctoral fellow will (1) teach one section of Incarceration Nation per academic year, with the possibility of teaching one other course as desired, (2) work closely with the Professor on his ROCKWOOL-funded research projects on the intergenerational transmission of social marginalization and the intimate partner violence, (3) provide core supervision over research staff in the NDACAN, (4) work on the Professor’s NIH-funded projects on child maltreatment/foster care placement and parental incarceration, and (5) complete independent research, as appropriate.

Qualifications: ● Ph.D. in a social scientific field or related field
