Position Description

Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology Group at Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), led by Prof. Seodong Shin, invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position in high-energy physics phenomenology, with priority areas in dark matter and astroparticle physics. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in theoretical particle physics by the start date. The initial appointment is for two years, with the possibility of a one-year extension contingent on performance and funding availability. The expected start date is September 1, 2026, and is negotiable.

The PI is also affiliated with the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Universe at the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) (https://www.ibs.re.kr/ctpu/), enabling close collaboration and regular interaction with IBS members. The group is part of JBNU’s Laboratory for Symmetry and Structure of the Universe (LSSU); active interaction with faculty—including Prof. Seong Youl Choi (JBNU), Prof. Wan-Il Park (JBNU), and Prof. Chang Sub Shin (Chungnam National University)—is strongly encouraged.
