Position Description

The Department of Sociology at Koç University invites applications for a full-time Instructor position to begin February 2026. 

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable record of teaching excellence. The candidate is expected to engage in the intellectual life of our department and to teach broadly on the Department’s curriculum as appropriate. 

The teaching load is five courses per semester. Candidates must have completed their PhD before the start date. 

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience. The compensation package includes a health insurance plan. 

Located in Istanbul, Turkey, Koç University is an internationally recognized, English-instruction research university. The Department of Sociology is expanding, with MA and PhD programs. The successful candidate is also expected to complement the Department’s existing strengths and actively participate in curriculum development.
