Position Description

The Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI) and School of Physics and Astronomy (SPA) of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (http://tdli.sjtu.edu.cn and https://inpac.physics. sjtu.edu.cn) invites applications for tenure-track or tenured faculty (“Fellow”/ Associate professor or tenured “Fellow”/Full professor) positions in particle, nuclear and astro-particle physics both in theory and experiment.

For this coming year we have openings for several positions. Experimental positions will emphasis on high-energy cosmic neutrino detection and neutrino astronomy, and theory position include areas for studies of new physics beyond the Standard Model, focusing in particular on the phenomenology at the energy frontier and related facilities, Lattice QCD, Astro-particle physics and Quantum filed theory in cosmology. Faculty members at all levels at TDLI and SPA are expected to carry out independent forefront research and supervise students (both Ph.D. and undergraduate students). Successful candidate is expected to play a major role in developing one of the above mentioned areas.

TDLI particle and nuclear division and the Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics at SJTU work closely with each other. Both also work closely with astrophysics division of TDLI and Department of Astronomy of SJTU in the area of particle astrophysics and cosmology. The SJTU has an active visitor program, and organizes many topical workshops and conferences each year to create a scientifically stimulating environment.
