The Department of Physics at the University of Alberta (UofA) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in theoretical gravitational physics, with a starting date in Fall 2024. The successful applicant will be formally supervised by Prof. Don Page but will be strongly encouraged also to collaborate with other members of the research area of Astrophysics and Gravity. Research topics include black hole information, black hole thermodynamics, quantum cosmology, and related topics in general relativity, relativistic astrophysics, and quantum theory.

The position is a full-time 2-year appointment. The fellowship includes a yearly stipend of $60,000 CAD plus supplemental health benefits. 

The applicant must have a Ph.D. in gravitational physics obtained within the last five (5) years, with a strong background in general relativity and quantum theory.
