Cornell University’s Department of Government seeks to fill a three-year visiting position, beginning July 1, 2018, in International Relations and Comparative Politics, with a focus on the politics and foreign policies of the Middle East. The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses on Israeli politics in comparative perspective (Middle East and cross-regional), the politics of nationalism and separatist movements, and international politics more broadly. The Department welcomes applicants who cross subfield boundaries (e.g., with connections to political theory) and would interact with other departments and programs, such as Near East Studies and the Judith Reppy Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies.
