Nuclear Science Lab at the Department of Physics University of Notre Dame invites applications for a post-doc position in experimental research in nuclear astrophysics and nuclear structure.

The successful candidate will join the groups of Prof. Anna Simon and Prof. Manoel Couder. They will be involved experimental nuclear astrophysics, in particular proton and alpha capture reactions for a variety of stellar environments. They will be involved with a range of gamma-ray detectors and electromagnetic separators.

The successful candidate should have a strong background in experimental nuclear physics, programming and data analysis, and Geant4 simulations. Knowledge of statistical model codes will be a valuable asset. An interest for hands-on and construction activities is a plus.
