Position Description:    

The Department of Chemistry at Boston University invites applications for a full-time teaching and research Postdoctoral Associate/Lecturer appointment starting as early as August 1, 2018. This innovative program (formerly known as the Postdoctoral Faculty Fellow program) is designed for recent PhD recipients planning to pursue academic careers of teaching and research at four-year institutions. Of particular interest are candidates capable of supporting freshman General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physical/Analytical Chemistry. Initial appointments are for one year, renewable based on satisfactory performance. Responsibilities are divided between teaching and research. The instructional component will involve guided experiences in teaching undergraduate courses and contributing to implementing innovative teaching methodologies. Research will be conducted in affiliation with a faculty research group.
