The Fermilab Theoretical Astrophysics Group is seeking an outstanding candidate for an Associate Scientist or Scientist in the fields of particle astrophysics and cosmology. This position is comparable to an assistant or associate professorship.

The group has a wide range of interests, including models of the early Universe and their connections to particle physics, the formation and evolution of large-scale structure, dark matter and dark energy, cosmic rays, neutrino astrophysics and cosmology, cosmic surveys, the cosmic microwave background, and numerical cosmology. Our group has close connections with cosmic frontier experiments that Fermilab is involved in, including the Dark Energy Survey, the Cryogenic Dark Matter Search, LUX-Zeplin (LZ), ADMX, the South Pole Telescope, LSST, and other projects. Our group also has strong connections to the Fermilab Particle Theory Group and with the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics and the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Chicago. Currently the group's staff members are Josh Frieman, Nick Gnedin, Craig Hogan, Dan Hooper, and Albert Stebbins, as well as three postdocs.
