Chemistry and Biochemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry invites applications for one full-time instructor to teach three (3) chemistry lecture classes per semester (fall/spring) for a total of six (6) lecture classes per year. This is a nine-month appointment, beginning August 16, 2018 and ending May 15, 2019. The salary for the position is $42,000. Responsibilities include preparing course syllabi, course materials, course content, homework, exams, supervising graduate instructional assistants and undergraduate students assigned to lecture classes. A PhD in chemistry with at least three (3) years of teaching experience with demonstrated excellence in teaching of chemistry at the University or college level. Experience teaching organic chemistry at the university or college level and fve (5) years of experience teaching introductory and/or organic chemistry preferred.
