The Department of French and Italian at The Ohio State University invites applications for a two year, renewable appointment as a benefits-eligible senior lecturer in Francophone literary and cultural studies with classes starting August 20, 2019. Research interests preferred in West Africa and/or the Caribbean. The successful candidate will have native or near-native fluency in English and French, and a strong record of college-level teaching. Teaching is at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum, including large enrollment General Education classes in English. The position carries a three-course per semester teaching load and service responsibilities involving creative outreach and recruitment with the OSU and local communities. PhD in French and Francophone Studies, or a related field, must be obtained by the time of appointment.
