Duke University Tenured or Tenure-track Professor in Public Policy and Economics

Economist in social policy to be a tenured or tenure-track professor of Public Policy in the Sanford School of Public Policy.

The Sanford School of Public Policy invites applications for a position at the advanced assistant professor (i.e., at least 2 years post-PhD), associate professor, or full professor level. We seek an economist in the broad area of domestic social policy. Candidates for appointment at the associate or full professor level should have a record of scholarly achievement appropriate for the rank, and all applicants should demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching and advising. We are especially interested in economists trained in Labor Economics, Public Economics, and Urban Economics and whose research examines pressing issues of social policy, such as crime and punishment, education, employment, ethnic and racial disparities, housing, immigration, income inequality, and the effects of public policies in general on social problems.

The Sanford School includes a full-time faculty of almost 70 and offers an undergraduate major, three masters programs, and a Ph.D. program. More information on the Sanford School can be found at www.sanford.duke.edu.
