Description:    

The Center for Particle Cosmology at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for one ore more postdoctoral fellowships to begin September 2019.

The fellowship is in theoretical particle cosmology, broadly interpreted, ranging from the formal to the empirical sides of the field. The position is funded in part by a NASA grant to Bhuvnesh Jain, Justin Khoury and Mark Trodden. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on topics of his/her choice, and is encouraged to collaborate with other students, postdocs and faculty at Penn. The Center for Particle Cosmology spans a broad swath of theoretical physics, ranging from theoretical astrophysics to high energy theory. We also have a lively experimental program in cosmology and particle physics, with involvement in DES, LSST, other galaxy and CMB surveys and particle physics experiments with Penn leadership. The initial appointment is for one year, is expected to be renewed each year up to three years, depending on funding, and offers competitive salary, benefits, and research allowance.
