Position Description:

We are seeking a highly-qualified scientist with a strong background in immunology, with at least 6 years post-doctoral experience. Required Qualifications include the candidate to have research interests and expertise multiple aspects of innate immunity, including but not limited to the following research areas. Innate immunity: The applicant should have experience and knowledge in C type lectin receptors, histones and PAMPs; construction and use of chimeric receptor-Ig fusion proteins and chimeric TCR fusion receptors in T cell hybridoma recorder cell assays; in analyzing cytokine responses, including multiplex assays; purifying, culturing, transducing and analyzing primary and immortalized macrophages; Biochemistry: Purification and characterization of DAMPs; purification and mass spectrometry analysis of proteins; immunoprecipitation and as well as standard biochemical techniques; Molecular Biology: construction of tagged, mutant and fusion constructs; lenti and retroviral construction and transduction of macrophages; CRISPR gene editing; siRNA silencing and reconstitution in cells including macrophages; as well as standard RNA and DNA techniques. Animal models: experience in analyzing models of peritoneal inflammation and liver injury as well as cytokine responses in vivo. Preferred qualifications include expertise in multiparameter flow cytometry, confocal microscopy and analysis of adaptive immune responses.
