The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University seeks an individual to serve as Executive Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. This individual will also hold a faculty appointment as a Professor of the Practice (rank to be determined and subject to faculty approval) in one of Fuquaâs academic areas depending on academic background and expertise. The Executive Director will report directly to the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and will provide intellectual leadership for the Centerâs research and education functions.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with significant experience and leadership in entrepreneurship and innovation, ideally in both academic and business settings. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and team building skills are essential given that an integral element of this position is interaction with leading entrepreneurs, potential donors, the media and numerous constituencies within Duke University. Candidates should hold an advanced degree, PhD preferred, or be near completion of the degree.
