Chair Position in Newly Created Business Program at SUNY Korea

The College of Business at SUNY Korea (State University of New York in South Korea) invites applications for the Chair of the Business Management Program. SUNY Korea, is located in Incheon Free Trade Zone (IFEZ) in Songdo, South Korea, about 1 hour from Seoul and about 30 minutes by car from the Incheon International Airport. SUNY Korea is committed to delivering high-quality undergraduate programs in Business that include a BS in Business Management with specializations in Accounting and Finance while providing an international experience in Korea. The degrees will be granted from Stony Brook University (SBU) of SUNY. For further information please visit www.sunykorea.ac.kr. The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in Finance, Accounting, Marketing or other fields of management or economics. The Program Chair is expected to provide leadership and foster excellence in all program efforts associated with teaching, research and service. This is a 12-month appointment. Responsibilities include promoting the academic success of students, administration of the undergraduate program; recruitment; mentoring and evaluation of faculty; management of budget and program resources; planning, assessment and reporting; and maintenance of accreditation for instructional programs. The Chair is expected to guide the vision and the operational management of the program to advance and grow its mission within the College of Business at Stony Brook University.

This is for a tenure track, tenured, or renewable term appointment. The Chair reports directly to the Dean of the College of Business at Stony Brook University, serves as a representative on the College leadership team and is an advocate for the College, Stony Brook Korea and the University administration.
