The position is in the lab of Dr. Ying Sun, Section of Soil and Crop Sciences at Cornell University and is seeking a talented, independent, and highly motivated postdoc in agroecosystem modeling.

Anticipated Division of Time
The successful candidate is expected to integrate the latest advances in eco-physiological, biophysical, biogeochemical and hydrological processes of agroecosystems into regional or global land surface models (e.g., NCAR’s CESM). The successful candidate will also have opportunities to analyze remote sensing data, conducting field studies at Cornell research farms, and presenting original scientific results at meetings and in publications.

Position Requirements
Ph.D. in agriculture-, ecology-, climate-, remote sensing, or computation-related field.

Preferred Specific Skills
Preferences will be given to candidates with expertise in developing and performing large-scale model simulations (e.g., NCAR CESM/CLM) and programing skills in Fortran, C++, Matlab, NCL, R or Python.
