The Department of Anthropology at Cornell University invites applications for a tenure-track position in economic anthropology at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek a colleague who is adept at bringing political economic analysis and ethnographic insights to the study of contemporary economic activities, and who can also teach fundamental courses in economic anthropology. Successful candidates may have expertise in capitalist, socialist, or post-socialist economies. Regional focus is open, but we particularly welcome applications from scholars with intellectual commitments to the Himalayas, Latin America, the greater Middle East, Europe, and/or East Asia.
