Job Description: Associate in Research

Organization: Duke University Position: Research Associate Location: Position location –Spectrum Lab at Duke Univ. in USA; Durham, NC Reports to: Professor Michelle Connolly, Duke University Start Date: October 1st, 2019 Length of Commitment: Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 Semesters Experience: Graduate Student Experience in academic research and knowledge of empirical analysis and data management are required. A background in Economics or Statistics is preferred. Language Requirement: None Responsibilities and qualifications: This is a part time job (5-15 hours per week) for a graduate student to help manage and offer administrative assistance (recruiting, communications, website, data management) for the Spectrum Lab run by Professor Connolly. Crucial is the ability to guide, mentor, and manage four to eight undergraduate research assistants during the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters. Experience in academic research and knowledge of empirical analysis and data management are required. A background in Economics or Statistics is preferred. Applicant must be able to physically attend weekly lab meetings and offer time to undergraduate research assistants needing guidance.
