University of California, Los Angeles Faculty Position in Advanced Imaging Science

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in advanced imaging science, broadly defined, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2020. Qualified applicants suited to appointment at the associate and full professor rank may also be considered. The Department is seeking outstanding candidates with the potential for exceptional research, excellence in teaching and high commitment to enhancing diversity in the university environment. Candidates will be expected to have expertise in developing, advancing and/or applying cutting-edge imaging methods (e.g. electron, X-ray, scanning probe, super-resolution, optical or other imaging techniques) to solve important problems in quantum physics, biophysics, condensed matter and/or materials physics. Successful candidates will be invited to join the STROBE National Science Foundation Science and Technology Center.
