The Theory Group at The University of Texas at Austin invitesapplications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position to start 9/1/20. All candidates must have received a PhD (or completed all qualifications for degree, conferred by granting institution) within three years of the position start date.

The Theory Group consists of ten faculty members: Elena Caceres, Jacques Distler, Katherine Freese, Willy Fischler, Vadim Kaplunovsky, Can Kilic, Sonia Paban, Richard Matzner, Steven Weinberg and Aaron Zimmerman. Ongoing research ranges from physics at the most fundamental level to computations relevant to current research in cosmology. The group has close interactions with cosmologists in the Astronomy Department as well as with a group of professors in the Mathematics Department.

This is a year-to-year contract for up to three years, with each year contingent on continued funding for the position and on job performance.
