    It from Qubit, the Simons Collaboration on Quantum Fields, Gravity, and Information, anticipates appointing several postdoctoral fellows starting in the fall of 2020 across the following faculty groups and locations:

    The goals of the collaboration are to bring together leading researchers in fundamental physics and quantum information theory and to build a new scientific community to investigate such issues as the emergence of spacetime, the quantum mechanics of black holes, and the information-theoretic structure of field theories. Candidates already working at the quantum information/fundamental physics interface are encouraged to apply, as are candidates wishing to expand or transition their research into this subfield from related areas. Fellows will be expected to participate in Collaboration meetings and to travel one month per year to other It from Qubit sites. Fellows will also have the opportunity to pursue their own research programs in related areas. Fellows will benefit from the strong activities in high-energy theory, gravitational theory, condensed-matter theory, and quantum computing found at collaborating institutions.     Applications should consist of a CV, list of publications, summary of research interests, and three letters of recommendation. Applicants must have received the Ph.D. degree prior to beginning the appointment. The cover letter should explain how the Fellow will contribute to the goals of the Collaboration as stated above. Fellows will have a single principal mentor and institution, but extended visits to other It from Qubit sites will be encouraged and supported.  For full consideration applications should be received by December 1, 2019, but will be considered until the positions are filled.
