The Hamilton Mathematics Institute TCD (HMI) invites applications for Simons Postdoctoral Fellowship in theoretical/mathematical physics and pure mathematics, starting in the autumn of 2020. Positions are usually for two years, with the possibility of an extension to three years, provided that the grant is extended by the funding agency, and depending on performance. The position is funded by the Targeted Grants to Institutes from Simons Foundation. You can visit HMI web page at http://www.tcd.ie/Hamilton/ and School of Mathematics web page at http://maths.tcd.ie/. The Hamilton Mathematics Institute (HMI) at Trinity College Dublin was founded in 2005, marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of William Rowan Hamilton - Ireland's greatest mathematician. The HMI's mission is to position Ireland as a centre of excellence for mathematical research. To apply please submit a curriculum vitae, list of publications and statement of research interests electronically via the following website: https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/fellowship/15031 until December 1, 2019. Please also arrange for three letters of recommendation to be written on your behalf. Referees should upload the letters following your application before the deadline of December 1, 2019. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong research record in the fields represented in the School of Mathematics and the Hamilton Mathematics Institute: Quantum Field Theory, String Theory, General Relativity, Lattice Field Theory, Algebra, Geometry, Algebraic Geometry, Complex analysis, Partial Differential Equations. |
