The department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a qualified applicant whom holds a M.Sc. degree in an engineering discipline or B.S. and equivalent work experience. Prior experience in wastewater treatment, membrane filtration technologies, and/or electrochemistry is highly desirable. It is anticipated that this position will be split approximately 70/30 between engineering support and laboratory testing tasks. This is a full time (exempt), benefits-eligible position.

Primary responsibilities will include: • Design, fabrication, and testing of new prototype technologies. • Maintenance and troubleshooting of prototypes. • Installation and monitoring of technologies at the Center and partner field sites (may require international travel). • Assisting with the preparation of reports, conference presentations, and manuscripts for publication. • Routine water quality lab testing and data analysis. • Support of collaborative projects in which the Center is a subgrantee, including remote consultation on system design and testing protocols and participation in consortium meetings (may require travel and/or teleconferencing.) • Active participation in Center meetings surrounding lab/field testing results and technology development, including presentation of testing data and (at times) remote conferencing outside of normal work hours due to time differences with partner institutions.

Additional requirements for this position will include: • Willingness and ability to work with human waste (urine and feces) and wastewater • Ability to manage effort and timelines across multiple projects simultaneously • Good communicative skills • A desire to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
