Position Description:    

Position Overview: The Girard School of Business at Merrimack College invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in Management Information Systems to begin in the fall of 2020. Candidates must have expertise and interest in developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in the area of Management Information Systems. Preference will be given to candidates with strong ability to also teach courses of importance to the school (e.g. Analytics, Data Science, Enterprise Systems). The successful candidate must have demonstrated potential to be an outstanding teacher, productive scholar, and an active contributor to professional, departmental, school, college, and community service. Merrimack faculty typically teach three courses per semester, with opportunities for course releases. The Girard School of Business has approximately 1,200 undergraduate and graduate students. It offers a BS degree with eight concentrations, MS degrees in Management and Accounting, as well as an online MS degree in Business Analytics. Our MS in Management program was ranked eighth in colleges and universities around the country in the TFE (The Financial Education) Times 2018 list of best programs nationally.

Required Qualifications:

A PhD in Management Information Systems or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited university (or equivalent) by the starting date of appointment. Prior industry experience is desirable.
