The SISSA Statistical Physics Group expects to make five 2-years post-doctoral research appointments, beginning in autumn 2020. The scientific interests of the group include quantum and conformal integrable models, entanglement in many-body systems, cold atoms, classical and quantum non-equilibrium statistical physics, quantum quenches and thermalization, tensor network calculations, holography, disorder systems. A complete description of the research interests of the group and a list of its current members can be found at http://www.sissa.it/statistical/. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, including a list of publications, and at least two letters of recommendation.
Some of the positions are on the following specific projects:
1) "Coarse-grained description for non-equilibrium system and transport phenomena" (PIs: A. Gambassi, S. Ruffo)
2) "Low dimensional quantum systems: theory, experiments and simulations" (PIs: P. Calabrese and G. Mussardo)
3) ERC project "New Entangled states of Matter Out of equilibrium" (PI: P. Calabrese). This position can be extended up to three years.
4) "Entanglement, quantum fields and holography" (PI: E. Tonni)
The deadline for applications is January 15, 2020, but earlier submissions are encouraged. |
