Cornell University’s School of Operations Research and Information Engineering (ORIE) seeks to fill a lecturer/senior lecturer position that will focus in the areas of Mathematical Programming, Applied Probability and Statistics and/or Applied Operations Research. We seek candidates with experience in ORIE that can use that experience to support the educational mission of the department. Applicants should have a PhD degree in a relevant area of the mathematical sciences and engineering. This position would involve the support of several classes as well as advising student projects at the master of engineering or undergraduate level. Cornell ORIE is a diverse group of high-quality researchers and educators interested in probability, optimization, statistics, machine learning, simulation, game theory, and a wide array of applications such as health care, e-commerce, supply chains, scheduling, manufacturing, transportation systems, financial engineering, service systems and network science.
