The Global Political Economy Project (GPEP) at the Mortara Center for International Studies at Georgetown University invites applications for post-doctoral and pre-doctoral fellows during the 2020-2021 academic year. The Global Political Economy Project seeks to encourage innovative work by comparative and international political economy scholars that focuses on the ways in which global markets shape peoples’ lives and identifies how globalization might be harnessed for the greater good. Research might focus on markets and sustainability, social equity, power, digital technology, identity, and democracy, among others. This program is funded by the Open Society Foundation’s Economic Justice Program.

Fellows will pursue their own research as well as participate in the broader activities of GPEP, which will include workshops on emerging topics in political economy as well as professional training and mentoring opportunities. Fellows will be expected to provide a research agenda proposal recasting a core political economy issue through the GPEP lens.

Applications will be reviewed starting February 20, 2020. Application materials include a CV, research statement, writing sample, and 2 confidential letters of recommendation. To receive full consideration, materials should be uploaded to https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/15965
